FAQ

  • Is Day-of-Coordination only for the day?
My Day-of-Coordinating packages are more like Month-of-Packages - I don't simply show up on the day of your wedding and coordinate your day. We will meet for a consultation when we sign a contract together and go over your vision, desires and needs for your wedding day to ensure we are on the same page moving forward. We meet again one month prior to your wedding day to finalize details, vendors and go over your wedding day timeline. In the meantime, I am working to coordinate details with your vendors, schedule arrival times and set-up locations, communicate with your photographer to build a master timeline that incorporate their photography timeline as well and really work to polish off all those little details.
  • Do you travel?
Absolutely! Travel within 40 miles of Missoula is free, and I travel anywhere in the state for an additional small fee. I am also available to travel out of the state or even country if you're considering a destination wedding!
  • What do you require for booking?
Once we decide we are a good fit for one another, a signed contract and 50% non-refundable deposit is due to reserve the date.
  • Do you work alone?
For event planning services, depending on the extent of the wedding and services I am supplying, I typically work with an assistant, sometimes more if needed. For photography services, a second-shooter is available as an add-on cost or included with larger collection packages.
  • How long have you been a wedding planner?
I started my own business the end of 2014, but have been in the wedding and events industry for 7 years.
  • Is this your full-time job?
Yes, beginning in 2018, Emily Summer Studios became my full-time job so I can dedicate more time and attention to my couples.
  • Have you ever worked with same sex couples?
Absolutely! Emily Summer Studios is an inclusive business that celebrates love of all shapes and sizes.
  • How many weddings do you typically work at once?
This varies depending on the scale of the wedding. I typicall only take on about 4-5 Full-Service weddings a year so that I can devote the time, focus and attention to those weddings, but overall will work, on average, 15-20 weddings a year.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
In the event of a cancellation, the deposit paid is non-refundable, as it reserved your date that could have otherwise been booked for another couple. If cancellation occurs within at least 60 days of wedding date, the remaining balance will not be expected to be paid. If cancellation occurs within 60 days of wedding date, however, the remaining balance is due, regardless of services rendered.
